Series returns on 9-19-2005 with another season. Season 5 opens with the episode ‘Venus (1)’ and the season opener was a two-part episode. So, a new year begins and Manny is so anxious to pursue an acting career. She auditions for a role but gets disappointed. So finally contemplates plastic surgery. It’s Craig’s birthday and he receives an unwelcome birthday presentation from Ashley and also gets a check from his late father. Macro discovers that Craig and Ellie both do have feelings for each other. Jimmy becomes the new coach of the basket ball team but faces troubles created by Derek, a new member in team.  During this season, JT finds himself in tough situation when he starts selling drugs but now wants to quit the profession. The worst part is that drug dealer won’t let him so is forced to do wrong. Later on this season, Emma starts developing feelings for Peter which may cost her friendship with Manny. Season finale ‘High Fidelity (2)’ was aired on 3-20-2006. It’s the end of year. Ashley returns and Jimmy reconciles with her again. A character from the past re-emerges.
