Seventh season of Degrassi: the next Generation begins on 1-14-2008 and the first episode aired was entitled ‘Standing in the Dark (1)’. Season opens with a tragedy and Lakehurst has a fire. So, all the students move in Degrassi which angers many students at Degrassi, especially Toby. Last year, Degrassi loses JT so Toby has still not gotten over his death. Meanwhile, Darcy realizes that she and Peter didn’t have sex. Paige is working in fashion industry and her relationship with Alex is suffering from two issues- her job and Alex’s attitude. Craig releases a new Album and Ashley discovers that it includes a song written by her. Caitlin returns to town and Ellie discovers that dating the boss is really not a good thing. Dealing with all these teenagers, their teenage issues, their love-life issues, their professional issues, season was wrapped up on 6-23-2008 with the episode ‘We Built This City’. Season comes to an end as the graduation ceremony is approaching. Liberty wants to make this special occasion perfect and has her own plans to make this day really special. But circumstances are not going as per the plans and nothing seems to support her. Finally, it puts Emma and Toby at odds with Liberty.
