The latest gossip on Degrassi: The Next Generation!
Well, I have two good news to share with the ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’ fans.Both are very important and I am unable to decide which one I should go with first.
Anyways, we would first go with the news which would make all the fans proud of Degrassi: The Next Generation‘. You would like to know that series has received top honors at the Alliance for Children and Television Awards of Excellence. Degrassi: The Next Generation won the ‘Award of Excellence, All Genres, Teens’ category. It’s a fact that whenever it comes to awards, Degrassi has always done well. Very recently, series creator Linda Schuyler won the Anthony Minghella Memorial Award by the Canadian Screen Training Centre. Moreover, the show creator has also won the Maverick Award from the 2009 Female Film Festival in Toronto. So, Three Cheers’ for Degrassi: The Next Generation.
And, here comes the second news. Attention, Jake Esptein fans! We all know him as Craig of Degrassi: The Next Generation. Craig is the half brother of Angie who starts living with Joey because of the activities of his abusive father. He first dates Ashley and soon ditches her for Manny Santos. In the fourth season of series, Craig is seen dealing with bipolar disorder and his addiction to cocaine comes into light during the sixth season of the show.
Soon, he would be seen as Melchior Gabor in the national tour of the Tony-winning musical Spring Awakening in July. Jake would become the part of the young cast of Spring Awakening on its arrival at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on July 7. So, don’t you miss it guys!
