The Stars Day Out
Heyaa everyone
Just imagine, a day at school, with no arithmetic, no sciences, no history. All you got to do is
To hear Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who! And from whom???
Your own very favorite stars.
No, am not narrating you a dream, but revealing you the facts here as to what happened at a Toronto elementary school.
Stars of our favorite and besty show ‘Degrassi : The Next Generation’ landed up at St. Raymond’s Catholic School, Toronto to promote literary reading and narrating Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who !
The children must have had a lot of fun am sure. I so wish I was there too.
I heard that there were around two hundred children assembled in front of the stars sitting on a rock at stage that was made to resemble “Jungle of Nool”. Awww!!! I love that storyyy.
Now you must be wondering how come this school was chosen at the first place. Well, there was this contest organized by the Fox people and this school won for giving the best answer on the question “on what plant did WhoVille exist?”
Everyone knows that mayor of WhoVille offers pancakes to ninety seven children. And so the organizers had arranged for pancakes as breakfast of children. Sounds Yummmm !!!!!
And it was not just the children who were excited. The principal, Anne – Marrie Verre was the driving force for this event. She wants to promote reading at school and she has achieved that my getting a whole new collection of Dr. Seuss books.
And then there are principals at school, like ours *Sigh*. You know what, I even managed a quote from somewhere from a grade seven student of the school named Vanessa Macieo. She says “I think it was great because the younger grades wouldn’t know how to read the book. Also the actors expressed the book in how the author would read it,”

And what is the take of our favorite stars on this event??? Eighteen year old Scott Paterson, who enacts the role of Johnny on Degrassi, comments. “It’s just great to see that kids were so enthusiastic and so inspired by the Seuss story,”
Ninteen Year old, Charlotte Arnold, our Holly J on Degrassi, was quoted saying “I hope they think older kids and kids they might have seen on TV think that reading is important too,”
Well good point there Arnold.
What do you say reader???

I only watch degrassi the next generation episodes because of My favourite character Marco, and I feel he has really grown as a character. He started out as just another guy, but turned into a sensitive, sweet, and overall amazing guy.
